| RAWR! |
I already took you on a journey of the history of the great Grimlock name when I posted about Robots in Disguise Grimlock last week so I'll spare you a rehash of that story but I wold like to point out one further thing about this figure.
Grimlock is a Tyrannosaurus Rex - the King of the Terrible Lizards (which his befitting his famous catch phrase - "ME GRIMLOCK KING!") but he was designed based on a thoroughly 80's understanding of dinosaur physiology. Grimlock is very much in the "standing up straight/right angle triangle" vein of T-Rex imagining. A slow but fiercely majestic picture of the species. The problem is, even in it's day, that was a thoroughly discredited portrayal of T-Rex. Spielberg didn't invent the modern concept of the T-Rex but Jurassic Park made it famous - the fast, agile and aggressive hunter that is the nightmare of lawyers on toilets everywhere. Perhaps that just sounds like I'm filling out a post with useless information - but try saying it's useless when a Terrible Lizard is is chasing your Jeep and you realize the terror of the fine print of your side mirrors that says "objects in mirrors are closer than they appear".I've also got a few new auctions to make you aware of today:
Team Bullet Train
The Build Team
RID Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus
G1 Grimlock
ROTF Sideswipe
A couple of these auctions are active already and a few of them are scheduled to start tomorrow. I try to always have my auctions finish on Sunday afternoon or Sunday evening as those statistically are the highest traffic time for bidding and you get the best final value if you end then. So 7 day auctions need to start on Sundays an 5 day auctions need to start on Tuesdays.
Remember Tuesday morning prayer at 7:30 in the fireside room at the church - I'll be there waiting for you. And we'll talk again on this blog tomorrow.
Chris
