Are you getting bored of this yet?

Well I have two weeks left of Lent to go and I'm going to be honest - this post a day pace that I've been keeping is really leaving me feeling spent as far as interesting things to say. I hope to continue this blog after Lent is finished but I'm thinking that I'll be at the rate of no more than 2-3 posts a week. Anywho, here is today's Transformer. I'm looking forward to seeing may of you tomorrow at church.

Classics Bumblebee

Everyone is familiar with Bumblebee, the 2007 live action movie took him from a popular transformer character to an elite status within the Transformer universe. But what younger or more casual fans may not understand about him is that Bumblebee in his original persona was not an elite fighting lieutenant in Optimus Prime's crack squad of Autobot commandos - originally he was a diminutive reconnaissance specialist who wasn't much of a fighter at all. Original notable for his alternate mode being a yellow old-school Volkswagen Beetle in subsequent incarnations VW has repeatedly refused Hasbro the rights to create a toy resembling that iconic vehicle stating repeatedly that they do not want their vehicles to be seen as machines of war. Michael Bay did a way with that controversy when he re-imagined Bumblebee for the movies as a souped up Chevy Camero (a stylistic cue that's now been replicated in subsequent and distinct continuities) but here in this classics line that pre-dates the live films we have Bumblebee as a generic compact hatchback.

For some unknown reason he's towing a jet-ski that transforms into some ridiculous jet-pack of sorts. There is nothing cannon or historical about the accessory so I guess it just falls into the category of artistic license.

That's all for today,
Chris
